Breakthrough Grappling (BTG) uses the sport of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to restore an individual's personal feeling of safety, restore the ability to trust, and help develop a stronger community for individuals or groups that are facing barriers to social integration. We do this through the delivery of short-term intervention courses that are bespokely designed for the specific needs of the group we are partnering with. The barriers to social integration we mainly work with: Groups facing social isolation (such as the homeless, refugees, supported housing groups) Groups who have experienced abuses of power or violence (such as survivors of domestic violence, bullying) Groups who have overcome or in the process of overcoming addictions (such as alcohol, drugs, pornography)
